Sydney Koeplin is a writer and editor from northern Illinois. She is a graduate of Colby College and an incoming MFA student at Bowling Green State University. She won the Elmira Nelson Jones Prize for Creative Writing from Colby College in 2021.


Her short stories, essays, poetry, and travel narratives have appeared in Qu Literary Magazine, Hypertext Magazine, the Lovers Literary Journal, Allegheny Review, Intrepid Times, and Their Ghoulish Reputation: A Folk Horror Anthology from Dark Lake Publishing, among others.


When she’s not writing or with her nose in a book, she enjoys swimming, taking walks around her neighborhood, and sitting in coffee shops for hours at a time.
